UP’s alumnus closed the stock market on 5 May in New York

Times Square in New York is a well-known, iconic place in the world, it is prestigious to appear on its huge projectors, and it is given to very few people. Dr. Christopher von Jako of Hungarian descent succeeded.

The alumnus of the UPMS could close the trading day of the NASDAQ stock exchange on 5 May as part of the bell-ringing ceremony, at the same time he drew attention to the importance of the month aimed at mental health preservation. The event of great interest could be followed live on the seven-storey high projectors of Times Square. The stock exchange index closed at record highs that day.

Dr. Christopher von Jako obtained a bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics at the American Bates College and a master’s degree in radiological sciences and technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, after which he received his PhD in 2014 at the UP Medical School Doctoral School of Clinical Medical Sciences. In his speech, he did not forget about the current university students whose exam period has just begun.
